The changes have been categorically done to improve the main registry space, more office space, ECCMIS kiosk, customer care/Communications office, archives, and court users' waiting space. The renovations have also seen the Division get more containers for archives files storage, which has been a very big problem for the Division and repainting of all offices.
The Head of Division, Hon. Justice David Matovu applauded the Judiciary Administration for the long-awaited efforts taken to respond to the lack of space outcry of the Division. "This will make our Division look better and we hope after all the renovations, we shall be able to offer the best services to our people given the fact that we will have enough space," he said.
The Deputy Registrar, HW Ajio Hellen appreciated the renovations and support of the Judiciary administration. However, she called for a speedy pace as far as completion to meet the deadline for ECCMIS anticipated Go Live for the Division.
According to HW Ajio, this timely delivery will also relieve the division of the burden of congestion of staff in small offices and files in corridors.
